The David Charles Horn Foundation was established in 2005 by Francine Horn, David’s wife. David Horn was the publisher and CEO of Here & There, the preeminent international forecasting and reporting publication serving the fashion industry. He was a man of vision, discipline, and grace, whose insight forever changed the world of fashion and the lives of those around him. In keeping with Mr. Horn’s lifetime commitment to the written word, the David Charles Horn Foundation seeks to honor his aspirations and achievements by supporting new initiatives in this field, particularly in the dramatic arts.

The David Charles Horn Foundation is the sole financial sponsor of the Yale Drama Series, a series that supports emerging playwrights through the publication of one full-length play each year by the Yale University Press, and a staged reading of that play at the Yale Repertory Theatre (as well as possible production by the Yale Rep). In addition, each winner is awarded a cash prize of $10,000.
